What is allergic rhinitis?

Commonly known as “hay fever,” allergic rhinitis is a chronic inflammatory condition of the nasal passages caused by allergens such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander and mold. 

How do you know if you have it?

Symptoms usually involve a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, itchy eyes, nasal congestion and even a sore throat at times. 

Symptoms can be intermittent (less than 4 days/week) or persistent (more than 4 days/week)

Allergies can be challenging, but with the right care you can take back control of your life. Your care advocate will guide a personalized treatment plan focused entirely on helping you feel your best. Your treatment will consist of:

A dedicated care team

  • A provider who is a medical professional (APP)
  • Allergy specialists for severe allergies and testing
 

Allergy testing and medications 

  • In-clinic testing
  • Antihistamines
  • Steroids
 

Results within weeks

  • Relief starting in 2-3 weeks
  • The program lasts about 1-3 months

Getting started is easy

Your path to allergy relief in just three steps:

1. Enroll in the program

After determining eligibility, you can sign up for the program within minutes through your MyBSWHealth account. 

2. Schedule an appointment

You’ll find an “all-in-one" dashboard where you can manage appointments and track your progress. We take the guesswork out of where to seek care and help you schedule that first virtual appointment. 

3. Track your progress

With a weekly tracker, weekly check-ins and more, you’re on a clear path from symptoms to solutions.

If allergies are impacting your life, our virtual Allergy Care program may be just what you need—helping you find fast, experienced and personalized care. 

If any of these scenarios apply, however, you may not be eligible.

  • Under 18 years of age
  • Pregnant
  • Reside outside the state of Texas
  • Previous allergy testing history at an allergy center within the last 12 months
  • Currently taking allergy injections
  • Currently under the care of a Baylor Scott & White allergist within the past 12 months

If none of these apply, you are eligible for this program.
