Inflammatory bowel disease
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) refers to a group of autoimmune disorders of the bowels which includes Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. An overactive immune system mistakenly attacks healthy tissues in the intestines, leading to inflammation that causes severe abdominal pain, diarrhea, rectal bleeding, fatigue and many other symptoms.
Food intolerances
Also known as food sensitivities, food intolerances can trigger uncomfortable and, in some cases, life-threatening, allergic reactions after eating certain foods. Lactose intolerance , or the inability to digest a type of sugar found in dairy products, is one of the most common types of food intolerance.
Celiac disease
