Russell K. McAllister, MD

Dr. Russell McAllister is a board-certified anesthesiologist based in Temple. His professional interests include acute and chronic pain medicine, obstetric anesthesia, perioperative and local anesthetic safety.


Dr. McAllister is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation and the American Board of Pain Medicine.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family (including his spouse, four children and three grandchildren), watching Texas Christian University sports, hiking, snow skiing and traveling. Dr. McAllister also likes ’70s, ’80s and ’90s classic rock, playing the drums, stand-up comedy, juggling, movies, trivia, reading classic literature and learning about the history of medicine.
