Applications are now being accepted for our 2026 Health Sciences Summer camp

The five-day program provides students enrolled in their high school's health sciences curriculum a “behind the scenes” look into pediatric healthcare.

Students who are accepted will observe multiple departments within the hospital/clinics – Neonatal Intensive Care, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Oncology etc. They will be given the opportunity to shadow healthcare professionals, receiving a firsthand look at healthcare.

The camp is available to current 9th - 12th grade students. Students must commit to all five days.

There will be two camp sessions this summer, held from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily.

Step 2: Submit student essay, deadline to submit is Feb. 27

Each student is expected to provide an essay. Please respond thoughtfully to the following questions (100–250 words each):

  1. What inspired your interest in health sciences? Describe any experiences, people, or moments that influenced your decision.
  2. What health-related careers are you currently considering, and what draws you to them?
  3. What science or health-related courses, clubs, or volunteer experiences have you participated in? What did you learn from them?
  4. What personal qualities or skills do you believe are important for someone in the health sciences field? How have you demonstrated these?
