Biography
Dr. Alsahhar is board certified in transplant hepatology. He specializes in the management of patients with viral hepatitis, metabolic and autoimmune liver diseases, cirrhosis, liver cancer and liver transplantation. Dr. Alsahhar also has special interest in cardiac and pulmonary complications of cirrhosis. Dr. Alsahhar attended medical school at Texas A&M University College of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship, internal medicine residency and fellowship training in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology at Baylor University Medical Center - Dallas. He has published several scientific articles in the field of hepatology and liver transplantation, and has presented at national and international meetings. In his spare time, Dr. Alsahhar plays soccer and ping-pong and enjoys landscape photography. He sees patients at Baylor University Medical Center and at the McKinney Liver Outreach Clinic.
