Biography
Dr. Jennifer Murillo is a board-certified neuro-oncologist practicing in Temple. Her professional interests include glioblastoma, low-grade gliomas, meningioma, pituitary tumors, metastatic brain tumors, neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis, spinal tumors, germ cell tumors, medulloblastomas, ependymoma, pleomorphic xanthoastrocytomas, von Hippel-Lindau disease and hemangioblastomas. Dr. Murillo is double board-certified in neurology with both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. She is also board-certified in her subspecialty, neuro-oncology, by The United Council of Neurologic Subspecialties. She is active in research and currently is the principal investigator of several brain tumor clinical trials. Dr. Murillo is a proud member of the Society for Neuro-Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Academy of Neurology and the prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of her exemplary service, integrity, clinical excellence and compassionate patient care. As the Division Director for neuro-oncology in Temple, she sees patients in-person in both Temple and Waco, as well as provides her sub-specialty care with virtual visits for patients in the greater Central Texas area from College Station to Marble Falls to Hillsboro to Lampasas areas. Dr. Murillo is a proud graduate of Baylor University and is happy to return to Central Texas to provide leading-edge care for brain tumor patients.
