John Francis Eidt, MD

Dr. Eidt is a Clinical Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Dallas. John Eidt, MD, RVT, RPVI, FACS, earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. He then completed an internship and a residency in general surgery at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA. He returned to UT Southwestern for fellowship training in vascular surgery. Dr. Eidt is board-certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery. His academic focus is on surgical education, and he has a broad-spectrum clinical vascular practice. Dr. Eidt has been a member of the faculty at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, AR, and was a staff surgeon at Greenville Health System in Greenville, SC. Since 2015, he has been vice chair of vascular surgery at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital – Dallas. Dr. Eidt is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery, is co-editor of Scientific American Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, and serves on the editorial board of Vascular Specialist, the official publication of the Society for Vascular Surgery.
