Biography
Dr. Ward is a Clinical Professor at Texas A&M College of Medicine at Texas A&M Health Science Center, Dallas. He has traveled the world to train with pioneer surgeons who have pushed the frontiers of minimally invasive surgery such as Lee Swanstrom and Brice Gayet. His philosophy of care is to get patients back to a quality of life that is better than when he first met them. For surgical patients, minimally invasive techniques are usually the best at doing just that. By developing this unique skillset, Dr. Ward is able to offer a wide array of treatments for benign and malignant conditions of the esophagus, stomach, and other areas of the abdomen. Aside from the surgical aspect of his practice, he is active in conducting research. Dr. Ward believes there is always room to improve on the status quo and therefore uses research to improve patient care on a larger scale. By using evidence based practices and advanced surgical technology, he offers patients safe and innovative surgeries for achieving quality outcomes. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors with his family, cooking and cheering for his college sports teams. Dr. Ward was nominated for D Magazine's Best Docs in 2022, 2023, 2024.
