Biography
Saleh M. Elwir, MD is the Medical Director of Liver Transplantation at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. He specializes in the management of patients with viral hepatitis, chronic liver diseases, liver tumors and liver transplant candidates and recipients. Dr. Elwir graduated with honors from medical school at the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. He moved to the United States to complete his residency at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. His fellowship in gastroenterology and transplant hepatology took place at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Dr. Elwir has been involved with several research projects that resulted in multiple publications and abstract presentations at national and international meetings.
