Susan Mathai, MD

Dr. Mathai cares for patients with advanced lung and respiratory diseases. Her focus is on clinical care and research related to interstitial lung diseases and pulmonary fibrosis. Prior to joining the medical staff at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, she was a member of the faculty at the University of Colorado in Denver. She has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and is involved in research related to pulmonary fibrosis. She has received support for her work from the National Institutes of Health, the Parker B. Francis Foundation and the U.S. Department of Defense and currently serves as the principal investigator on numerous clinical trials related to treatments for interstitial lung diseases. She is active in medical education and directs the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center.
