Tun Jie, MD

Dr. Tun Jie, MD, MS, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon who provides advanced medical care in abdominal transplant surgery and hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery. He specializes in complex procedures involving the kidney, pancreas, liver, and biliary system, delivering evidence-based surgical care to patients with advanced abdominal and transplant conditions.

Dr. Jie completed his medical degree at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn and his residency and fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons and the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.


Fluent in English and Chinese, Dr. Jie is committed to improving patient outcomes through clear communication, allowing patients and families to discuss diagnoses, treatment, and surgical plans in their preferred language.

Outside of work, Dr. Jie enjoys reading and traveling.
